Nvidia Reveals Launch Date for RTX 5060 GPUs, Pricing Begins at $299

Nvidia Launches RTX 5060 GPU Series, Debuting April 16

Nvidia has made it official with the announcement of its latest GeForce RTX 5060 series, set to hit the market on April 16. The range features the RTX 5060 Ti, which comes in 8GB and 16GB VRAM versions, priced at $379 and $429, respectively. The standard RTX 5060, equipped with 8GB of VRAM, is anticipated to launch in May at a cost of $299.

Aimed at making cutting-edge gaming features accessible to a larger audience, the RTX 5060 series provides state-of-the-art technology at a more budget-friendly price. Both the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti are compatible with DLSS 4 (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and full ray tracing, offering enhanced visuals, increased frame rates, and lower latency.

“The RTX 5060 series equips gamers with next-gen performance and AI-boosted visuals starting at $299,” stated Matt Wuebbling, Vice President of GeForce Marketing, in an official press release from Nvidia. “Driven by the state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and incorporating DLSS 4 technology in over 100 games, this new category of GPUs enhances gaming with breathtaking visuals, fast frame rates, and quick responsiveness.”

DLSS 4 presents a collection of AI-enhanced features, such as Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Nvidia Reflex. These functionalities aim to provide smoother gameplay by enhancing frame rates and reducing input lag.

Upon release, over 100 games will feature support for DLSS 4, including well-known titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, and Black Myth: Wukong. Nvidia asserts that with settings maximized, these new GPUs are capable of delivering ray-traced graphics at more than 100 frames per second in compatible games.

If you’re considering upgrading your gaming setup, it’s advisable to act swiftly. Nvidia GPUs tend to sell out rapidly, and interest is projected to be high—especially in light of previous shortages like the notorious RTX 3080 launch. Given the continuing ambiguity surrounding U.S. tariffs, availability could be uncertain. Currently, product listings for the RTX 5060 Ti have not been activated, so stay alert and have your payment method prepared.

In addition to desktop graphics cards, Nvidia has also revealed that laptops featuring RTX 5060 GPUs will be offered by major manufacturers from May. These laptops will start at $1,099 and promise lower latency alongside frame rates that are up to double those of earlier models. They will be available in a range of configurations, with some models as slim as 14.9 millimeters.
