### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times* has introduced another winner to its Games section with *Connections*. Developed with assistance from associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, this daily word game has rapidly become a favorite, especially on social platforms. Accessible on both web and mobile devices, *Connections* invites players to organize four words that share a common theme.
Each puzzle comprises 16 words, categorized into four groups. These categories can include everything from book titles and software names to country names, among others. While several words may appear to fit together, there is only one correct answer for each group.
When players successfully pinpoint all four words in a category, those words are cleared from the board. Mistaken guesses, however, are counted as errors, allowing players up to four mistakes before the game concludes. To facilitate easier connections, players can shuffle the board to rearrange the words and unveil connections more effectively.
Each group is assigned a color based on difficulty: yellow is the most straightforward, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to *Wordle*, players can broadcast their outcomes to friends via social media.
