### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times*’ newest word game has taken social platforms by storm. Developed with the assistance of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, *Connections* has become a fixture in the publication’s Games section. The game can be played on web browsers and mobile devices, with the objective of grouping four words that have a shared theme.
Each puzzle includes 16 words, split into four categories. These categories can encompass anything from literary titles to software names, countries, and beyond. Although many words may fit together, there is only one right combination.
When a player successfully groups four words, those words vanish from the board. Conversely, incorrect guesses are counted as mistakes, with players permitted up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
