### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times*’ newest word game has taken social media by storm. Developed with the collaboration of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, *Connections* can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices. The goal is to group four words that share a common theme.
Each puzzle features 16 words split into four categories. These categories can include book titles, software, country names, and more. Although several words may seem to fit together, there is just one correct answer.
When you correctly group a set of four words, they are eliminated from the board. However, incorrect guesses are counted as errors, and players may make up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
To facilitate the process, players can shuffle the board to easily identify connections. Each category is color-coded:
– **Yellow**: Easiest
– **Green**: Moderate
– **Blue**: Challenging
– **Purple**: Most difficult
Similar to *Wordle*, players can share their results with friends on social media.
