### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times*’ newest word game has captured the attention of social media. Developed with the assistance of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, *Connections* can be played on both web platforms and mobile devices. The goal? To group four words that share a common theme.
Each puzzle features 16 words, categorized into four distinct groups. These categories can include anything from book titles to software names, countries, and beyond. While numerous words may appear to fit, only one grouping is correct.
When you correctly find a set of four words, they are eliminated from the board. However, incorrect guesses are counted as errors—players are permitted up to four errors before the game concludes.
To assist in solving, players can shuffle the board to more easily identify connections. Each category is color-coded:
– **Yellow** – Easiest
– **Green** – Moderate
– **Blue** – Challenging
– **Purple** – Most difficult
Similar to *Wordle*, players can share their results on social media.
