### What is Connections?
*Connections* is the new daily word game from the *New York Times*, and it’s already making waves on social platforms. The game was crafted with input from associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu and has solidified its place in the *Times*’ Games section. You can engage in *Connections* on both web browsers and mobile devices. The objective is to categorize four words that have something in common.
Each puzzle features 16 words, and participants must categorize them into four distinct groups. These categories might include book titles, software names, countries, and more. While some words might appear to fit together, there’s only one correct answer for every set.
When you successfully identify a group of four words, they are eliminated from the board. However, if you make an incorrect guess, it counts as a mistake. Players are permitted up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
To simplify things, players can shuffle the board to more easily discern connections. Each group is color-coded based on difficulty: yellow represents the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. And similar to *Wordle*, you can share your outcomes with friends on social media.
