### What is *Connections*?
The latest word game from *The New York Times* has rapidly turned into a sensation on social media. Developed with the assistance of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, *Connections* can be played on both web and mobile platforms. The aim is to group four words that have a shared theme.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words, and players must categorize them into four unique groups. These groups can include anything from book titles to software titles, countries, and much more. While several words might appear to fit together, only one solution is correct.
If you successfully find a group of four words, they are taken off the board. However, incorrect guesses are counted as errors, and players can make up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
To assist players, the board can be shuffled to reveal connections more clearly. The challenge level of each category is indicated by color:
– **Yellow** – Easiest
– **Green** – Moderate
– **Blue** – Challenging
– **Purple** – Most difficult
Similar to *Wordle*, you can share your progress with friends via social media.
