What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT’s newest daily word game has been introduced in partnership with The Athletic, a sports coverage platform of The New York Times. Connections can be enjoyed on both web browsers and mobile devices, asking players to group four words that share a trait.

Each puzzle includes 16 words split into four groups. These collections may feature anything from book titles to software or country names. While multiple words may seem to fit together, there is only one correct combination.
If a player accurately identifies all four words in a group, those words are cleared from the board. Incorrect guesses are considered mistakes—players can make a maximum of four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate the identification of connections. Moreover, each group is color-coded with yellow being the simplest, succeeded by green, blue, and purple. Just like Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
