What is Connections Sports Edition?

The NYT‘s newest daily word challenge is introduced in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times entity focusing on sports reporting. Connections can be accessed on web browsers and mobile devices, necessitating players to categorize four words that share a similarity.

Each puzzle features 16 words, grouped into four categories. These collections could range from book titles to software names or country designations. Although several words might appear to connect, there is only one accurate combination.

When a player successfully identifies all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the board. A wrong guess counts as a mistake—players have a maximum of four mistakes permitted before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to enhance the discovery of connections. Furthermore, each group is color-coded, with yellow signifying the easiest level, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
