NYT Connections Sports Edition: Clues and Solutions for May 13, 2025

🧠 Connections: Sports Edition – A Fresh Challenge for Sports Fans

The New York Times has introduced a new variation of its popular word game with Connections: Sports Edition, tailored for avid sports fans. Created in partnership with The Athletic, this daily puzzle encourages players to identify the shared connection among four words—similar to the original Connections game.

Just like Wordle, Connections resets daily at midnight with a new puzzle, featuring increasing difficulty as the week unfolds. If you’re facing obstacles, we offer hints and strategies to assist you. If you’d rather go straight to the solutions, just scroll down for today’s answers.

🎯 How to Engage with Connections: Sports Edition

Accessible on both web and mobile platforms, the game offers 16 words. Your mission? Organize them into four sets of four, each reflecting a common theme. However, be cautious: although many words may seem compatible, there’s only one accurate grouping.

Each accurate set is eliminated from the board. Incorrect guesses count as mistakes—you can make up to four before the game concludes. To help identify patterns, you can shuffle the board. Every category is color-coded by level of difficulty:

– Yellow: Easiest
– Green: Moderate
– Blue: Challenging
– Purple: Most difficult

Similar to Wordle, you can share your outcomes with friends and fellow fans via social media.
