### What is *Connections: Sports Edition*?
The *New York Times* has collaborated with *The Athletic*, its sports-centric platform, to introduce this daily word challenge. *Connections: Sports Edition* can be accessed on both web browsers and mobile devices. The game’s goal is straightforward: group four words that have a shared theme.
Each puzzle is made up of 16 words, split into four categories. These categories might include book titles, software, country names, and beyond. Although multiple words may seem to fit, there is only one correct grouping for each collection.
When players successfully find a set of four associated words, those words will be eliminated from the board. However, wrong guesses are counted as errors, and players are permitted up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
To aid players, the board can be shuffled to help reveal connections more clearly. Each category is marked by color, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. And just like *Wordle*, you can share your accomplishments with friends on social media.
