What is Connections: Sports Edition?

The NYT‘s newest daily word challenge, in partnership with The Athletic, the sports journalism branch of the New York Times, is currently accessible. The sports Connections can be enjoyed on web browsers and mobile gadgets, requiring players to cluster four words sharing a common connection.

Every puzzle consists of 16 words, categorized into four groups. These collections might range from book titles to software, country names, and more. While several words may appear to correlate, only a singular correct answer exists.

If a player successfully identifies all four words in a group, those words vanish from the board. An incorrect guess is considered a mistake — players are allowed up to four errors before the game concludes.

Players are also able to rearrange and mix the board for easier connection spotting. Moreover, each group is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, succeeded by green, blue, and purple. Just like Wordle, you can share your results with friends via social media.
