What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game has been introduced in partnership with The Athletic, the sports coverage platform of The New York Times. Connections is playable on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to connect four words that share a similarity.
Each puzzle contains 16 words categorized into four groups. These categories may include anything from book titles to software names or countries. While various words might appear to fit together, there’s only one accurate solution.
<pWhen a player successfully groups all four words, those words are eliminated from the board. An incorrect guess is counted as a mistake—players can make a maximum of four mistakes before the game concludes.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to uncover connections more effortlessly. Each grouping is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
