**What is Connections Sports Edition?**
The *NYT*’s newest daily word game, developed in partnership with *The Athletic*, the New York Times’ sports news publication, is accessible on web browsers and mobile devices. Players need to connect four words that have a shared theme.
Each puzzle features 16 words arranged into four categories. These groups may consist of book titles, software, country names, and more. Although several words might appear to connect, there is only one correct combination.
When a player successfully finds all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the board. Incorrect guesses count as errors—players are permitted up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
Players can also reorganize and shuffle the board to facilitate finding connections. Each group is color-coded: yellow is the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like *Wordle*, you can share your results with friends on social media.
