What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word challenge, introduced together with The Athletic, invites players to categorize four words with a shared connection. It is accessible on web browsers and mobile devices.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words divided into four groups. These groups may encompass anything from book titles to country names. While several words may appear to be interconnected, there is only one right answer.
If a player successfully categorizes all four words, they are taken off the board. Wrong guesses are considered errors—players can make up to four errors before the game concludes.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to discover connections more effectively. Each group is color-coded: yellow is the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, players can share their results on social media.
