What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game is launched in collaboration with The Athletic, the sports news outlet of the New York Times. Connections is accessible on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to group four words that share a common link.

Each puzzle comprises 16 words, organized into four categories. These groups may include anything from book titles to software names or countries. While many words may appear related, there is only one correct combination.
When a player successfully identifies all four words in a category, those words get eliminated from the board. An incorrect attempt counts as a blunder—players have a maximum of four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to better discover connections. Each category is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your performance with friends on social media.
