What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word puzzle was created in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times’ platform for sports reporting. Connections can be accessed through web browsers and mobile devices, challenging players to group four words that share a commonality.

Every puzzle comprises 16 words, categorized into four groups. These categories could encompass book titles, software, countries, etc. While several words may appear to fit together, there is only one accurate solution.
If a player successfully categorizes all four words in a group, those words are eliminated from the board. A wrong guess counts as a mistake—players have up to four mistakes allowed before the game concludes.

Participants can rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate identifying connections. Each category is color-coded: yellow represents the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
