What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT’s newest daily word game has been released in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times outlet for sports reporting. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices, requiring participants to group four words that share a common connection.

Each puzzle features 16 words divided into four categories. These collections can range from book titles to software, country names, and so forth. While many words may appear to group together, there’s only one correct set.
If a player accurately identifies all four words in a category, those words are taken off the board. Incorrect guesses count as errors—players are allowed a maximum of four errors before the game concludes.

Players can move and shuffle the board to recognize connections more effectively. Furthermore, each category is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social platforms.
