What is Connections: Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game is introduced in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times entity offering sports news. Connections can be accessed through both web browsers and mobile devices, asking players to classify four words that share a similarity.

Every puzzle comprises 16 words, categorized into four groups. These groups could range from book titles, software, country names, etc. While numerous words may appear to belong together, only one arrangement is correct.
When a player accurately identifies all four words in a category, those words are taken off the board. Making an incorrect guess counts as a mistake — players can make a maximum of four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players also have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate finding connections. Furthermore, each group is color-coded, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. As with Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
