What is Connections: Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game debuts in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times’ outlet for sports reporting. Connections can be enjoyed on web browsers and mobile platforms, requiring players to classify four words that have a shared theme.

Every puzzle consists of 16 words, grouped into four categories. These collections can range from book titles to software and country identifiers. Although many terms may appear to connect, only one combination is accurate.
If a player successfully identifies all four words in a category, those entries are eliminated from the board. An incorrect guess is counted as an error — players can make up to four errors before the game concludes.

Players can reposition and shuffle the board to facilitate recognizing connections. Each group has a color code: yellow indicates the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share your outcomes with friends on social platforms.
