What is Connections?
The NYT‘s newest daily word puzzle has become a phenomenon on social media. The Times attributes the creation of the game and its addition to the publication’s Games section to associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu. Connections is playable on web browsers and mobile gadgets, and tasks players with grouping four words that have a commonality.
Every puzzle consists of 16 words split into four categories. These categories could range from book titles to software or country names. Although several words may appear to connect, there is only one correct grouping.
<pWhen a player accurately identifies all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the board. Incorrect guesses are counted as mistakes—players can make a maximum of four mistakes before the game concludes.
Players have the ability to rearrange and shuffle the board, facilitating the discovery of connections. Each group is designated a color, with yellow as the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. In a manner similar to Wordle, you can share your results with your friends via social media.
