What is Connections?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game has swiftly become a sensation on social media. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu for the creation of this innovative word game and its inclusion in the publication’s Games section. Connections is accessible on web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to categorize four words that have a shared link.

Every puzzle contains 16 words, and each group of words is divided into four categories. These categories might include anything from book titles to software names, country names, and more. Although numerous words may appear to fit together, there is only one accurate solution.
If a player identifies all four words in a group correctly, those words are eliminated from the board. A wrong guess counts as a mistake—players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate finding connections. Each group is also color-coded, with yellow signifying the simplest category, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends via social media.
