How to play Pips

<pIf you've experienced dominoes previously, you’ll grasp the fundamentals of how Pips operates. As shared in our earlier hint articles for Pips, the tiles, akin to dominoes, are arranged either vertically or horizontally and connect with one another. The conditions you need to satisfy pertain to the color-coded areas. For example, if a single number is specified, every edge of the tile in that area must total the indicated number. It is feasible – and typical – for only a portion of a tile to fall within a color-coded area.

Here are common scenarios you’ll come across throughout the difficulty levels:

  • Number: All the pips in this area must sum up to the indicated number.

  • Equal: Each half of the domino in this area must contain the same number of pips.

  • Not Equal: Each half of the domino in this area must feature a completely different number of pips.

  • Less than: Each half of the domino in this area must total less than the number.

  • Greater than: Each half of the domino in this area must total more than the number.

If a section is devoid of color coding, it suggests that there are no stipulations on the segments of dominoes within those areas.
