Wacom has introduced its latest tablet, specifically designed for novice users and aspiring creators. The Wacom One 14 is the newest addition to the brand’s One series. In contrast to Wacom’s pen tablets that do not feature screens, the One incorporates a 14-inch HD IPS display.
Even with a screen, it provides a paper-like feel when utilized with the Wacom One Standard Pen. The display is anti-glare and has an anti-fingerprint coating, which is particularly beneficial due to the hands-on interaction with the surface.
The Wacom One 14 connects to PC, Mac, or Chromebook through USB-C.
Differing from standalone tablets like the iPad or Galaxy Tab, the Wacom One 14 needs a computer connection to operate. It links via USB-C to computers that support DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4. It is compatible with PC, Mac, and Chromebook, making it an ideal choice for educational settings.
The tablet comes with pre-installed apps to assist in getting started, including Clip Studio Paint Pro, Magma, and Concepts for drawing, Passpartout 2 for interactive art, Foxit PDF Editor for routine tasks, and Skillshare for online courses from creative experts.
Koji Yano, Senior Vice President of the Creative Experience Unit at Wacom, remarked on the new tablet: “The Wacom One 14 is made for individuals embarking on their digital drawing and illustration journey. By integrating a larger screen and reliable pen technology in a manner that simplifies initial engagement for creative newcomers, it instills users with the confidence to enjoy creating from day one.”
The Wacom One 14 will be available for purchase at $299.95 starting Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Wacom and Amazon.
