The sketch concludes with a surprise cameo by Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost, who appears trying to sell a real Staten Island ferry. This references actual events—back in 2022, Jost and fellow SNL veteran Pete Davidson acquired a retired Staten Island ferry for $280,000. Jost has humorously dubbed it the “dumbest purchase” he’s ever made.
