A recent leak could have disclosed fresh information regarding one of Samsung’s most awaited forthcoming devices: the Galaxy S25 Edge.
In January, Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy S25 smartphone series during its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. While the company presented various models, it also hinted at a special edition device—the Galaxy S25 Edge—which was conspicuously missing from the initial launch.
Information about the S25 Edge has been limited. Although Samsung exhibited the phone at Mobile World Congress 2025 in March, it did not disclose any official specifications or launch details. Now, a new leak from trusted source Evan Blass (also recognized as @evleaks) has clarified what to anticipate from the device.
As per Blass, the Galaxy S25 Edge will have a thickness of merely 5.8mm and weigh 5.7 ounces. If this is correct, it would establish it as Samsung’s slimmest non-foldable smartphone to date—equaling the thickness of the Galaxy A8, which was released in 2015.
While some of the leaked information remains unclear, the report provides a more defined insight into the S25 Edge’s possible features. As previously conjectured by Mashable, the device is likely to possess advanced AI functionalities akin to those present in the other S25 models. It will apparently be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
In terms of design, the phone may incorporate a titanium frame and possibly Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for enhanced durability—though some theorize this might be an error, as the latest version of Gorilla Glass Ceramic was just recently launched.
Other speculated specifications include a “pro-grade” 200MP camera and an all-day battery, indicating that the S25 Edge will be marketed as a high-end flagship device.
According to South Korean publication The Financial News, Samsung is anticipated to officially reveal the Galaxy S25 Edge at an event on May 13, with pre-orders commencing the following day. If the leaks hold true, Samsung enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer to secure what could be the company’s thinnest smartphone to date.
