Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Rumored Specifications and Expected Cost for the Stylish New Mobile Device

In January, Samsung provided a glimpse of a remarkably thin addition to its Galaxy series. Although the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge has not been officially revealed yet, numerous leaks have already created a substantial overview of what to anticipate.

The most recent insights come from Roland Quandt of WinFuture (via TechRadar), who indicates that the Galaxy S25 Edge will showcase a stylish titanium frame, weighing only 163 grams (approximately 5.7 ounces) and measuring a slim 5.85mm thick. This would make it one of the slimmest smartphones available—comparable to the speculated dimensions of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air.

To put this in perspective, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 is rumored to have a thickness ranging from 8.2mm to 9.55mm, although it becomes thinner when opened as a foldable device. Currently, the title for the world’s thinnest phone is held by Oppo, whose foldable Find N5 measures a mere 4.21mm when unfolded.

Based on Quandt’s findings, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature the following specifications:

– 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×3120 and a 120Hz refresh rate
– Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
– 12GB of RAM
– Storage choices of 256GB or 512GB
– 200MP main rear camera
– 12MP ultra-wide rear camera
– 12MP front camera
– 3,900mAh battery with support for wireless charging
– IP68 rating for dust and water resistance

These specifications are in line with previous leaks, particularly concerning the device’s size, processor, and relatively modest battery capacity. Nevertheless, Quandt’s report provides fresh insights regarding the titanium usage and the addition of wireless charging.

Quandt also revealed possible pricing details, suggesting that the Galaxy S25 Edge might start at around $1,400 USD, with higher pricing for models with increased storage. While Samsung has not yet confirmed an official release date, the announcement for the device is anticipated at an event in May.

As always, keep an eye out for official confirmations and further updates as they arise.
