Another Donald Trump press conference left many confused.
During Monday night’s edition of Late Night, Seth Meyers examined the president’s latest crime conference in Washington D.C., where Trump referenced statistics that were refuted in real-time by CNN.
“We’ve seen presidents who have lied in the past, but none have been this simple to fact-check,” Meyers noted. “But who can you believe? The statistics experts at CNN, or the person claiming we can lower drug prices by 1500 percent?”
Trump subsequently displayed a random chart, introducing it by stating, “These are various cities around the globe…red is…OK?”
“Is this his new slogan? Just showing a chart and saying ‘OK’?” Meyers inquired. “He’s like a slothful magician who doesn’t have you choose a card, he merely shows one and pretends that’s what it was meant to be. ‘You kids enjoy magic? Check this out. Jack of Diamonds…OK?'”
