Seth Meyers, host of Late Night, has taken aim at President Donald Trump’s persistent assertion that the Epstein controversy is a “hoax,” pointing out that the scenario does not bode well for the U.S. leader.
“The guy is clearly rattled by this Epstein issue in a way I’ve never witnessed before,” Meyers commented.
Trump has encountered considerable backlash from his supporters for failing to disclose the client list of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Despite past commitments to unveil the list, Trump is now urging people to move on from the Epstein matter and refrain from asking about it. This seems unlikely, as a bipartisan measure calling for the release of the Epstein documents is nearing the necessary votes for a floor vote.
The Trump administration has labeled support for the measure as a “hostile act,” a stance Meyers deemed damning.
“[This] appears to be a clear acknowledgment that Trump is involved,” Meyers stated. “Like, why else would it be considered a hostile act? If my wife requested to see the For You page on my Instagram because she was curious about how my algorithm differs from hers, and I responded, ‘that’s a hostile act,’ she’d immediately suspect there’s something questionable on that For You page.”
