Sinners, *Black Mirror*, and the Neglected Stepsibling: Movie Reviewers Recommend What to See—and What to Pass On

Kristy Puchko, the Entertainment Editor at Mashable, made a return visit to Talking Pictures with Neil Rosen to discuss her perspectives on some of the most talked-about films and television series.

Alongside fellow critics Perri Nemiroff, Neil Rosen, and Bill McCuddy, Puchko shared her opinions—both favorable and critical—on a range of recent releases. The panel addressed pressing questions such as: What’s the highlight episode of Black Mirror Season 7? Does The Ugly Stepsister, a body-horror reimagining of the Cinderella story, meet its Sundance hype? And what’s the reason behind the strong acclaim from critics and audiences for Ryan Coogler’s latest film, Sinners?

This episode also includes reviews of several notable titles, such as Netflix’s suspenseful crime drama Adolescence, the musical dramedy The Ballad of Wallis Island, and Étoile, a new Prime Video series by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. The panel further discussed the Danish romantic film The Kiss and the upcoming biopic Queen of the Ring, which chronicles the life of pioneering wrestler Mildred Burke.
