
At approximately 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Nov. 10, a large number of users faced difficulties connecting to Slack. This communication platform is extensively utilized in the business realm, and the disruption affected the initiation of the workweek for numerous individuals.
Mashable, similar to various other media outlets, depends on Slack for its communication needs. Multiple Mashable staff members experienced issues while trying to send messages on Monday.
Incidents regarding Slack problems escalated on Downdetector, with over 15,000 reports logged within minutes, starting around 12:56 p.m. ET. (Note: Both Downdetector and Mashable are subsidiaries of Ziff Davis.)
As per Slack’s status page, the organization was investigating a “new incident.” At 1:26 p.m. ET, Slack announced: “Some users may encounter difficulties connecting to or loading Slack. We will issue an update within 30 minutes, including more details on the current measures being undertaken.”
At present, Mashable journalists can access Slack, suggesting that the issue may have been resolved for many users.
