Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update co-anchors Michael Che and Colin Jost continue to excel during Donald Trump’s second term, discovering no lack of unusual headlines to mock.

The segment commenced with the peculiar tale of Trump sharing an AI-created picture of himself in pope attire — mere weeks following the actual Pope Francis’s passing. Jost joked that Trump must have been at the funeral, strolled by the open casket, and thought, “Oh, we should do a ‘who wore it best.’”

Che then took a shot at former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who made the eyebrow-raising assertion that the quantity of fentanyl confiscated at the U.S. border could have saved 75% of Americans from death. “Don’t threaten us with a good time,” Che quipped.

The duo also aimed their humor at Elon Musk, who allegedly reduced his involvement with Dogecoin. Che delivered the punchline: “As always, Elon pulled out a little too late.”
