Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update took a jab at President Donald Trump this week, with anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che critiquing him regarding his ties to the Epstein emails unveiled this week.
“House Democrats unveiled an email authored by Jeffrey Epstein in which he asserts that Donald Trump ‘knew about the girls,'” Jost states. “It’s explosive news that legal authorities are labeling, ‘duh.’
Che also pointed out an email from Epstein’s sibling Mark. “In one of the emails, Epstein’s brother inquired if Vladimir Putin possesses a photo of Donald Trump performing oral sex on someone named Bubba, which was an old moniker for Bill Clinton,” Che states. “So I guess that’s one position Trump has generated.”
Weekend Update didn’t limit itself to the Epstein emails. Jost and Che also took aim at Trump’s proposal for the new Washington Commanders stadium to bear his name, his assertion that his golden White House decor originates from anywhere but Home Depot, and his $5 billion threatened lawsuit against the BBC.
“This might be my favorite episode,” Che remarks.
The remainder of this week’s SNL episode further ridiculed Trump’s connections to the Epstein emails, addressing them in the cold open and in a series of shorts that featured Will Forte’s MacGruber.
