Sony Broadens Inzone Gaming Range with Initial Wired Gaming Earbuds, Keyboard, and Mouse

Sony has broadened its Inzone gaming series with a new premium wireless headset, wired earbuds, and a selection of PC gaming accessories. This represents Sony’s initial entry into several of these items, such as the Inzone H9 II noise-cancelling headset, Inzone E9 in-ear monitors, Inzone KBD-H75 gaming keyboard, Inzone Mouse-A gaming mouse, and two new mousepads.

Although Sony is famous for its noise-cancelling headphones and the PS5 gaming console, the company is now exploring the PC gaming sector. The latest products are up for pre-order and are set to ship in the first week of September.

Sony teamed up with professional gamers from the Fnatics esports team for its enhanced Inzone collection, testing some items at the Apex Legends Global Series Championship. Mashable has also assessed the new Inzone products, emphasizing the headset and aluminum gaming keyboard as highlights.

The H9 II PC gaming headset and E9 in-ear monitors

The flagship H9 II, a successor to the original H9 headset launched in 2022, incorporates the same 30mm drivers as the Sony XM6 noise-cancelling headphones and robust active noise cancellation. It boasts a revamped headband with a slider-lock mechanism and fabric headband, yielding a lighter build. Foam ear cushions increase comfort for prolonged use.

The headset comes with a detachable, unidirectional microphone. Sony’s noise-cancellation technology employs artificial intelligence to isolate the player’s voice during gameplay.

The H9 II provides multiple connectivity choices, including USB-C (2.4GHz connection), Bluetooth LE audio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The headphones deliver exceptional audio quality, and PC gamers can utilize the Sony Inzone Hub to modify EQ settings and select from three audio presets tailored for first-person shooters.

The newly introduced E9 wired gaming earbuds are aimed at professional gamers and first-person shooter enthusiasts, providing comfort through a wrap-around design that doesn’t pull on the ear. During a Call of Duty demonstration, they offered a snug fit and high-quality, richly detailed audio. Like the H9 II, the audio can be fully tailored. The tight fit and shape provide considerable passive noise cancellation.

A Sony press release notes: “The INZONE E9 features Sony’s first fully enclosed structure, and combined with the noise-isolating ear tips, they offer excellent passive noise isolation for more concentrated sound. These in-ear monitors are designed to minimize sounds from a pro tournament audience or eliminate simple background distractions during regular play.”

New Inzone gaming accessories

Sony’s inaugural PC gaming keyboard, the Inzone KBD-H75, is incredibly enjoyable to type on, even outside gaming. It showcases a CNC-machined aluminum frame and tactile experience. Gamers can access the Inzone gaming hub to personalize each key’s actuation and reset points. The keyboard supports a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz for swift trigger responses and precise signal transmission.

As per a Sony press release: “The KBD-H75 keyboard employs a gasket mount that cushions each keystroke by sandwiching the plate with soft gaskets, diminishing vibrations, and enhancing feedback for a smoother, more pleasing keystroke and a clear, precise typing sound—offering comfort that endures through extended gaming sessions…[The] INZONE KBD-H75 gaming keyboard features a compact 75% configuration, providing pro FPS players more mouse space without compromising essential keys for daily usage.”

The latest gaming mouse is exceptionally light at 48.4 grams and can stay powered for up to 90 hours of gaming. It consists of six customizable buttons in the Inzone Hub. The D version of the mousepad is crafted for maximum speed.
