The upcoming premium **iPhone** may herald the potential decline of the Dynamic Island feature.
A speculation shared by the Chinese platform **MyDrivers** (via **Wccftech**) indicates that the **iPhone 17 Pro** could come with a more compact version of the Dynamic Island. This pill-shaped front camera design, initially launched with the iPhone 14 Pro, has served as a favored alternative to the widely critiqued notch, providing animated alerts and a range of handy features. Nevertheless, if the speculation proves accurate, the Dynamic Island will be reduced in size on the iPhone 17 Pro, and as Wccftech hypothesizes, Apple may ultimately eliminate it as it strives for a fully “all-screen” iPhone. Such changes, however, are not expected to take place until at least 2026.

In the same article, **MyDrivers** also reported that the iPhone 17 Pro will have narrower display edges compared to earlier versions. Aside from these insights, details regarding the iPhone 17 Pro remain scarce and speculative. The Pro variant is anticipated to debut alongside the standard iPhone 17 and the rumored **iPhone 17 Air**, which is claimed to be the slimmest iPhone to date. However, a recent article suggested that Apple is encountering difficulties in achieving this ultra-slim design due to battery size limitations.
For fans of the Dynamic Island, make the most of it while it’s still here—it may not last much longer.
