A TikTok phenomenon features creators displaying a picture from before they scolded the photographer (bad) and one from after they scolded the photographer (good). It seems that Google has rolled out a new functionality for that.
During Google’s Made by Google event on Wednesday, the company introduced a fresh feature for the Pixel 10 phones named Camera Coach, with help from Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.
“The objective is always to seize the ideal shot,” Cooper stated before unveiling Camera Coach. She then invited the event’s host, Jimmy Fallon, to pose on a couch and “strike [a] sexy model pose.”
She taps the Camera Coach button at the upper part of the camera app, chooses the pose she wishes to perform with Fallon, and adheres to the directions from the AI-driven coach.
Camera Coach leverages Google’s Gemini AI to assist the photographer in real-time, offering suggestions and detailed instructions on lighting, composition, and positioning. As mentioned in a Google blog entry, it not only aids in taking better photos but also imparts “foundational photography skills” so users can enhance their shots for the long term.
As Cooper pointed out: “What I will convey, though, to all the ladies tuning in: I personally recognize how challenging it is to instruct your boyfriend or husband to capture that ideal shot, and now Camera Coach can simply train all the guys for us.”
