Stephen Colbert Amplifies Trump/Epstein Reporting, Rebukes Paramount

Stephen Colbert may be facing the possibility of cancellation, but he’s not shying away from his thorough examination of Trump and Epstein. In a recent monologue on the Late Show, Colbert refers to a report from the Wall Street Journal indicating that Attorney General Pam Bondi notified Trump in May that his name was listed in the Epstein documents. Colbert remarks, “He’s in the files. You know how they say there’s no such thing as bad publicity? They’re not referring to this.”

He also brings up recently unearthed images published by CNN featuring Trump and Epstein from the ’90s and ’00s, pointing out, “That’s how close these guys were. Their friendship endured longer than Trump’s marriage to Marla Maples,” before mimicking Trump: “‘Till death do us part, Jeffrey. ‘Till mysterious, unexplained death.”

Colbert then comments on the news that Trump is set to receive an extra $20 million from Skydance, which is planning to merge with his parent company Paramount, in addition to a $16 million lawsuit settlement. He states, “That means by submitting, they lost like $40 million this year. They better be careful; they might get canceled. For purely financial reasons.”
