During the weekend, an enchanting video of **Stephen Colbert grooving with Oprah to Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT”** went viral on Instagram after Oprah posted the clip on her profile.
“I broke the internet while dancing with Oprah at Gayle King’s birthday bash. Not only did I let loose, but I might have also strained a hamstring,” Colbert joked in a segment on the *Late Show*, referring to the now-famous incident.
“It was a fantastic night. Evie [Colbert’s wife] and I were privileged to be invited,” he went on. “When everyone hit the dance floor, Evie said, ‘Look, no one’s dancing with Oprah. Go ask her to dance.’ So I stood up and did just that. Oprah uploaded it right to her Insta. Rumor has it that this holiday season, I’m Oprah’s favorite thing,” Colbert quipped.
Looking back on the experience, Colbert remarked, “I considered twirling Oprah, but I quickly understood—you don’t twirl Oprah. You twirl *for* Oprah. Or, as she referred to it, my ‘triple pirouette.’ Evie has a slightly different name for that move—she calls it the ‘Stephen, please stop.'”
