Stephen Colbert Hilariously Ridicules Trump’s Golden Dome Suggestion

If worries about a potential World War III have been disturbing your sleep, former President Donald Trump has a strategy he claims will alleviate those anxieties: a “golden dome” missile defense system. As per a recent declaration, Trump imagines this cutting-edge shield as a means to safeguard the United States against possible threats.

Of course, late-night host Stephen Colbert had much to say regarding the concept during his monologue on The Late Show.

“Absolutely, gold. Because when I consider something unbreachable, my mind instantly goes to what pirates chew on to verify its legitimacy,” Colbert humorously remarked.

He also lampooned Trump’s promotional materials, which showcased dramatic posters in the Oval Office. One featured a cautionary message stating, “This is a Very Dangerous World,” credited to none other than “President Donald J. Trump.”

“That is incredibly foolish,” Colbert observed, before adding with feigned seriousness, “and that’s not merely my opinion — that’s a direct quote from ‘Late Show host Stephen T. Colbert.’”
