Stephen Colbert’s regular remarks regarding Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein appear to have gained the president’s attention. At a recent gathering at the White House, Trump once again took aim at the Late Show host while discussing the show’s cancellation.

“Colbert lacks talent, Fallon lacks talent, Kimmel lacks talent,” Trump stated. “They’re next, they’re going to be departing, I hear they will be. I don’t know, but I would guess, because you see, Colbert outperforms Kimmel or Fallon in ratings, am I right?”

“I was aware of that, yes, I was aware of that,” Colbert responded. “However, to be fair, I believe we’re all equally lacking in talent. In any case, I just wanted to express my gratitude for your viewership, sir, and for agreeing to be featured in our new promotional material.”

A mock Late Show promo subsequently showcases the clip of Trump claiming “Colbert has better ratings,” attributed to “our older viewers.”
