Stephen Colbert Takes Down Elon Musk with a Cutting Poem

Late-night hosts have often expressed their views on Elon Musk and DOGE, particularly since Trump assumed office. Yet, there are moments when a poem can convey emotions more powerfully than simple dialogue.

In the video above, Stephen Colbert responds to *U.S. Republican Randy Weber’s poem lauding Elon Musk* by composing a significantly less complimentary stanza of his own.

*”His rise to fame, high-tech gears / His only pals, are fascist peers,”* Colbert delivers. *”With skin the shade of leftover fish / He’s extremely dim, and quite the swish.”*

And from this point, the critique becomes increasingly incisive.
