### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times* has introduced another success to its Games section with *Connections*, developed with the assistance of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu. Accessible on both web browsers and mobile devices, the game challenges players to group four words that share a common theme.
Each puzzle showcases 16 words, with the objective being to categorize them into four groups. These groups can include everything from book titles to country names, software, and beyond. While multiple words may appear to fit together, only one correct grouping is available.
Once you successfully identify a set of four words, they will be removed from the board. Conversely, if you make an incorrect guess, it counts as a mistake. You are allowed up to four errors before the game concludes.
Players can also rearrange the board to help discover connections more effectively. The game’s difficulty is color-coded: yellow indicates the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to *Wordle*, you can share your outcomes with friends on social media.
