UPDATE: Jul. 1, 2025, 3:10 p.m. EDT This story has been revised to include additional information regarding Target’s forthcoming Circle Week offers and Circle 360 promotions.
After allowing Amazon Prime Day to take center stage last July, Target’s major summer sale will actively contest it in 2025. The bullseye retailer has unveiled its intentions to conduct a Circle Week event from Sunday, July 6 to Saturday, July 12, effectively framing Prime Day by 72 hours. (It is scheduled for July 8 to 11 in 2025, marking the longest Prime Day on record.)
Similar to Amazon’s main sale, Target Circle Week is an exclusive event for members: Its offers will be available only to customers who have enrolled in the retailer’s free Target Circle loyalty program and its premium Target Circle 360 program ($10.99/month or $99/year). The latter provides unlimited same-day delivery for purchases of $35 or more, complimentary two-day shipping on select products, 120-day returns, and exclusive monthly gifts and discounts.
Members of Circle 360 will gain early access to Target Circle Week deals starting Saturday, July 5. (Only paying, non-trial members are eligible, according to a Target representative.) As stated in a company press release, shoppers who enroll in Circle 360 at any point before the sale concludes will receive a $50 discount on their first same-day delivery order, effectively covering half of their annual membership cost. Verified educators and students can enjoy a 50% discount on a yearly membership to celebrate the beginning of the back-to-school season.
Target has indicated that its principal Circle Week offers will feature discounts of “up to 50% off hundreds of items in every category — from school supplies and electronics to daily necessities.” Highlights include:
Up to 40% off technology and gaming products
40% off Casaluna and Threshold bedding
30% off select backpacks and school supplies
“Buy two, get one free” on books, movies, and music
“Buy one, get one 50% off” selected groceries
Save $10 for every $40 spent on toys
Target is also set to provide three “Deals of the Day” each day throughout Circle Week. One of these will include a 10% discount on Target gift cards — a clever way to save even more on purchases during Circle Week.
Verified college students who are members of Target Circle will be granted a one-time 20% discount applicable storewide during Circle Week. (This will combine with the sale’s other promotions as well.) Students can verify their status on Target’s website using a valid student ID, a class schedule, or a tuition receipt.
Circle Week is a recurring weeklong event that Target organizes multiple times a year. Its summer occurrence typically coincides with Prime Day in mid-July, although last year, it was scheduled the week before.
The second week of July is poised to be busy: Best Buy, Walmart, and even TikTok Shop are also running their own anti-Prime Day promotions.
