The Tesla Model Y Performance might be coming soon.
In January, the firm unveiled an upgraded Model Y and gradually introduced additional trims, yet the high-speed Performance variant was missing.
Recently, Tesla’s Europe and Middle East account released a teaser video that seemingly depicts the rear of a Model Y featuring a unique spoiler. The footage displays the date August 29, 2025, along with the phrase “spoiler alert,” hinting that the Performance trim will be unveiled this Friday.
Given that the teaser was shared by Tesla’s Europe and Middle East account, the Model Y is likely to make its debut in those areas first.
This is not surprising, as the refreshed Model Y launched in China, Australia, and Europe prior to being available in the U.S. months later.
Last year, Tesla similarly spaced out the release of its refreshed Model 3, starting with the standard Long Range before introducing the speedy Performance variant.
What should we anticipate from the new trim? In addition to quicker acceleration, a recent spotting of a camouflaged Model Y Performance at Nurburgring revealed several upgrades, such as a new rear spoiler, 21-inch wheels, enhanced brakes and suspension, along with sportier seating.
