Tesla Sales Drop in Europe for Fifth Straight Month

Tesla is encountering difficulties in Europe, as indicated by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (EAMA). Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company has recorded its fifth month in a row of decreasing sales in comparison to the previous year, as per Reuters. In May, Tesla’s sales fell by 27.9 percent year-over-year, while total electric vehicle sales grew by 27.2 percent in the same timeframe, according to EAMA figures.

Tesla’s sales persist in their downward trend in Europe, even with the launch of the refreshed Model Y, with statistics illustrating this pattern across the continent and particularly in Germany. Although Tesla has benefited from strong brand recognition in the EV market for more than a decade, this edge seems to be waning in Europe.

This slump in sales follows the Cybertruck recently losing its title as the best-selling EV truck in the United States in May, according to data from S&P Global Mobility.
