Tesla is currently providing its premier Cybertruck variant with enhanced features, but this results in a considerable and unavoidable price hike. This “Luxe Package” is reserved for the Cyberbeast, the most advanced version of the Cybertruck. It encompasses Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, a four-year premium service, complimentary unlimited supercharging, and premium connectivity.
The drawback is that the Luxe Package is compulsory with every Cyberbeast, now listed at $114,990, reflecting a $15,000 increase from the former price. Although the Luxe Package may appear as an attractive offer, it is, in reality, disappointing. Tesla’s FSD package costs $8,000 for other models and, despite Elon Musk’s consistent assertions of major improvements, it presently offers minimal utility. The benefit of free Supercharging will require time to yield cost savings. Nonetheless, the two lower-priced Cybertruck options remain accessible without the Luxe Package, priced at $62,490 and $72,490.
This move is even more puzzling considering the Cybertruck’s lackluster sales figures. While Tesla does not reveal specific numbers, estimates suggest the company only sold 6,406 Cybertrucks in the first quarter of 2025.
Tesla’s Model S and Model X have similarly faced sluggish sales lately. Just last week, Tesla employed a comparable strategy with these models, integrating the Luxe Package and increasing the price of their top trims by $10,000.
