**The Actor Trailer: A Mystery Centered on Memories Created by Charlie Kaufman**

Director Duke Johnson, recognized for *Anomalisa*, transitions to live-action cinema with *The Actor*. The film is executive produced by *Anomalisa* co-writer and co-director Charlie Kaufman (*Orion and the Dark*).

Inspired by Donald E. Westlake’s novel *Memory*, *The Actor* features André Holland (*Moonlight, Bones and All*) in the role of Paul Cole, a man who finds himself trapped in a small town, devoid of any memory of his identity. As he attempts to reconstruct his past, he learns that he was once in the acting profession. During his quest to reclaim his former self, he develops a connection with local costume designer Edna, portrayed by Gemma Chan (*The Creator*), who is seen in the trailer adorned in a sophisticated clown costume.

As Paul delves deeper into his history, he battles with discerning whom to trust and whether his disjointed recollections can be relied upon. The film’s enigmatic and surreal ambiance is showcased in the trailer, enticing viewers to piece together the narrative alongside Paul.

*The Actor* is set to hit theaters on March 14.
