With the sale, this three-attachment Supersonic is priced just around $300 — still quite high, but typical for a premium hair dryer. This package includes a diffuser, styling concentrator, and wide tooth comb. To put this discount into perspective, Supersonic attachments retail for $40 each on Dyson’s website. If you opt for the Origin at its $284.99 sale price, and later decide to purchase two additional attachments, you’d be looking at around $364.99. This means you could buy this Dyson instead, get an extra attachment, and spend $5 less.

The Supersonic Nural is a pricey hair dryer. I primarily recommend it for those who are highly committed to their blow drying routine. In my trials, I haven’t observed it performing significantly better than the standard Supersonic, but the smart attachments that automatically adjust temperature and airflow do add a touch of luxury to the experience. (The companion app is somewhat less impressive — aside from some basic styling suggestions, I found it lacking in customization options. Plus, it doesn’t allow remote control of the dryer, which although impractical, I do expect at a $500 price point).

While it isn’t essential to buy this specific dryer to enjoy this feature, one of my favorite aspects of the Supersonic Nural is the outstanding wave + curl diffuser. During styling, you can remove the center prongs to create a diffuser bowl, which my wavy hair appreciated for achieving the best definition and volume. Besides the diffuser, the Nural comes with the most attachments, including a styling concentrator, a flyaway attachment, a wide tooth comb, and a gentle air attachment. Additionally, you’ll receive a case. If you desire an upscale hair drying experience, the Nural is the way to go — and at $399.99 ($30 less than the current price of the standard Supersonic not on sale), it’s much more palatable to recommend than at full price.
