With Greenland seemingly a focal point for Donald Trump, Daily Show presenter Ronnie Chieng took a moment on Wednesday to respond to the administration’s stance on Denmark’s territory. “The issue is, we require Greenland,” Chieng asserts. “Why? For their liberty, or their oil, or for national defe— look, I don’t recall the excuse we’re using.” After referring to “this congressman, he’ll clarify,” Chieng presents a clip of Rep. Andy Ogles depicting the U.S. as the “predominant predator in the Western hemisphere” to explain why it’s vital for America to have an interest. “Indeed, Trump is the predominant predator in the Western hemisphere,” Chieng comments. “At least now that Jeffrey Epstein is deceased.”
