Between 2025’s *Happy Gilmore 2* and the Apple TV series *Stick* starring Owen Wilson, golf comedies are on the rise. Now, Will Ferrell and Netflix are hopping on this trend with the upcoming show *The Hawk*.

Creator Ferrell plays Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, once the leading golfer in 2004, whose career has taken a downturn. His son Lance (Jimmy Tatro) has emerged as golf’s new sensation, while his ex-wife Stacy (Molly Shannon) believes Lonnie’s golfing days are behind him. Nevertheless, Lonnie is set on achieving the most remarkable comeback in golf by clinching one final major victory to complete his golf Grand Slam and cement his legacy.

To reach his objective, Hawk will require assistance from Lance, Stacy, Lance’s fiancée Natalie (Katelyn Tarver), and fresh caddy Sam (Fortune Feimster). He’ll encounter obstacles from competitors such as fellow golfer Golden Fisk (Luke Wilson), PGA Tour board member Anton (Chris Parnell), and Stacy’s new partner Radford (David Hornsby).
